About Me

Felicia is a clinical social worker specializing in individual, couples and group therapy, and maintains a private practice in Rochester NY.

With over 13 years’ experience as a clinical therapist, and as a graduate of the State of New York University of Buffalo specializing in trauma informed care, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise is working with survivors of trauma, individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorders, and depression. She also enjoys facilitating process and DBT groups, and providing supervision and training for social work graduate students.

Felicia has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings. In addition to her private practice Felicia is a Staff Therapist and Assistant Director of Social Work Training at the University of Rochester Counseling Center. Felicia is also an adjunct professor for the Greater Rochester Collaborative Masters’ of Social Work Program through SUNY Brockport and Nazareth College. Felicia's past work experience included working as a part-time Substance Abuse Group therapist at a private clinic, Westfall Associates Inc., for 8 years. While at Westfall Associates, Felicia facilitated the Dual Diagnosis Early Recovery Group and the Women's Early Recovery Group. Felicia worked as a primary therapist for 4 years in a Residential treatment facility for Women and Children. She developed and implemented a Co-Occurring Disorders group for Catholic Family Center. Felicia worked as a Community Mental Health therapist at St. Mary's Mental Health Outpatient where she trained to become a dialectical behavioral therapist. She also worked as a Psychiatric Assignment Officer in the Psychiatric Emergency Center for Unity Health System.

In addition to being a prominent therapist, Felicia has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topic of case management in higher education.

Felicia is an interactive, trauma informed therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Education
Felicia received her Bachelors of Science from SUNY Brockport, her Masters of Social Work from the University of Buffalo as an Advanced Standing student in 2003, and her Masters of Science in Health Administration in 2015.
